All 3 levels compete for a national title in their own Division. ACHA Division 1 has 59 teams, ACHA Division 2 has approximately 200 and ACHA Division 3 has 150 teams.

The Sun Devils ACHA Hockey Program boasts a top Tier Division 1 program that competes in the Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL).  ASU plays in 22 WCHL conference games and an additional 18 non-conference games.

Arizona State’s Division 2 team competes in the PAC-8 conference and plays a 36 game schedule that includes mostly teams from the Western Region of the ACHA. ASU’s Division 2 team also competes in 2 showcases during the year.

Arizona State Hockey has more National Tournament appearances than any other school in the last 15 years. The ASU Division 1 team won the ACHA National Championship in 2014 and is once again in the hunt this year for their 2nd Championship. ASU’s Division 2 team took 8th place at the 2016 Division 2 National tournament and 3rd place in 2015.

The Sun Devil program has also had international success sending more players to the World University Games than any other ACHA program. In 2017 forward Michael Cummings, forward Sean Murphy, and goalie Jordan Gluck all represented the United States in Kazakhstan.
